You've Got Some Nerve

Writer: Genahrie & MeGenahrie & Me

Have you ever seen or heard someone do or say something that caused you to question the nerve they had to do it? Have you ever thought maybe someone has felt the same way about you? This quarantine season has caused all of us to be forced to spend more time with ourselves and others. We have heard some news headlines that may have caused us to question some people's sanity. Maybe we have had to question our own.

Having to question our sanity and nerve to do something may not be as bad as it sounds. Have you ever thought that the question may not be about your sanity but about the fact that you were bold enough to be who you indeed are? With so much talk of 'fake news', fake people, and unauthorized data, people are looking for authenticity. We have been presented with so many options to change our appearance until sometimes we forget who we really are.

As we continue to navigate the rest of this year, take some time to make sure you are your authentic self. Remember, you are not living this life to please others, but to be who God called and purposed you to be. If others don't like who He created you to be, they have to take that issue up with God. Now, here is the deal; we must make sure we have consulted Him first. Don't waste this life trying to copy and compare yourself to others. There is nothing like being in the company of a great original!

Galatians 1:10 (ESV)- For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Blessings!

Genahrie
